Our alumni and friends leave a lasting mark at Pacific University. We lovingly remember those who have passed, and we invite our community to share in celebration of the lives of each member of our family. 

Pacific Magazine Obituaries

Each print edition of Pacific magazine includes a listing of those who have recently died, and we publish more detailed obituaries, as they are available, online. Read recent compilations of our "in memoriam" publication:

We invite members of the university community to submit names and/or obituaries for students, alumni, employees or friends of Pacific who have passed by email at pacificmag@pacificu.edu.

Remembrance Ceremony

The Pacific University Alumni Association hosts a quarterly remembrance ceremony to honor those who have died. At the ceremony, names are inscribed in a Book of Remembrances, and the Old College Hall bell is rung to signify the passing of each individual. Upcoming ceremonies will be listed on the events page as they are scheduled.
